How to Speed Up a Slow WooCommerce Store: Real Infrastructure Tweaks

WooCommerce is a powerful e-commerce platform, but dynamic carts, checkouts, and customer sessions mean you cannot simply cache everything with basic static plugins. Speeding up a store requires infrastructure tuning.

1. Redis Object Caching

WooCommerce performs heavy database queries to fetch product metadata and stock levels. Redis stores frequent database queries in memory, cutting server response times from 1.5s down to 200ms.

2. Bypass caching on Cart and Checkout

Dynamic user sessions must never be cached, but catalog archives and product pages should be pre-rendered and served at lightning speed.

3. Database indexing and cleanup

Clean out WooCommerce transients, expired sessions, and revision logs to keep your database lean.
