These terms apply to hosting, domain, website design, and related services provided by WebSavers (“we,” “us”), based in Carterton, Oxfordshire, England. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
Our services
We provide web hosting, domain registration, website design, and related services as described on this site. Specific scope, pricing, and timelines for a design project are agreed separately in your quote or order confirmation.
Pricing and renewals
The price you’re quoted for hosting and domains is the price you pay at renewal, for as long as you remain a customer on that plan — we don’t increase prices at renewal without telling you in advance. Website design projects are quoted individually.
Payment
Hosting and domain fees are billed in advance on the cycle you choose (monthly or annually). Website design projects are typically billed in stages, agreed before work begins.
Cancellation
You can cancel hosting at any time; there are no exit fees. Cancelling mid-cycle doesn’t automatically entitle you to a refund for the remaining period unless required by law. Domain registrations are non-refundable once registered, in line with standard registry policy.
Club sponsorship programme
Our sponsored club programme is open to local sports and community clubs. Where a club is accepted onto it, the website design and build are provided free of charge, funded by our sponsor, Loki Sport UK, in exchange for a clearly-labelled sponsor credit which needs to stay on the finished site.
Hosting is provided free for the first 12 months from the date your site goes live. After that it’s charged at our standard rate, currently £8/mo, on the same terms as any other hosting customer.
If your club holds an account with Loki Sport UK and a purchase is made using your club code, we’ll extend the free hosting by a further 6 months from the date of that purchase. There’s no minimum spend, and each qualifying purchase restarts that 6-month period. This extension depends on your club account and code remaining active with Loki Sport UK, who are a separate business — we can’t guarantee how long they’ll run their club programme for.
We may change or withdraw the programme, or any part of it, at any time. Any change applies to new applications only: if your club has already been accepted, what we agreed with you at that point still stands for the period we committed to. We’re not going to move the goalposts on a club that’s already signed up.
A few things the programme doesn’t cover. You’re responsible for the content you give us for your site, including having the right to use it. We’re not responsible for goods or services bought from Loki Sport UK or any other third party, or for any dispute arising from them. If you choose to host your site elsewhere or use your own domain registrar, that service isn’t ours and isn’t our responsibility. Our general liability position is set out below and applies to this programme too.
Your responsibilities
You’re responsible for the content you publish through our hosting, keeping your account credentials secure, and using our services lawfully. We may suspend service for content or activity that’s illegal, abusive, or puts our infrastructure or other customers at risk.
Fair usage
Our hosting plans don’t cap storage, bandwidth, or traffic at a fixed number, and we don’t charge overage fees. This is meant for normal website and email use, not exceptions like:
- Hosting a service unrelated to running a website (file storage/backup service, video streaming platform, etc.)
- Sustained resource use that measurably affects other customers on shared infrastructure
- Running scripts, crawlers, or processes designed to consume disproportionate CPU, memory, or bandwidth
If usage looks like it falls outside normal website hosting, we’ll always contact you first to talk about it — moving to a higher tier or a dedicated resource, for example — rather than suspending without warning. Suspension without notice is reserved for activity that’s illegal or actively harming other customers, as covered under “Your responsibilities” above.
Service availability
We aim for high uptime and will tell you about planned maintenance in advance where possible, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. We’re not liable for losses caused by factors outside our reasonable control.
Liability
We’ll do our work with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you’ve paid us for the service in question over the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn’t allow it (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence).
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always the one published here.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
