Read the small print on a lot of “cheap” hosting deals and you’ll find a 12, 24, or even 36-month minimum term, with an early-cancellation fee if you leave before it’s up. The low headline price only works if you’re locked in long enough for it to pay off for the host.
What a long contract actually protects
Not you. A lock-in term protects the host’s revenue forecasting and makes switching expensive enough that inertia keeps you paying, even if service gets worse or a cheaper option turns up.
What we do instead
No minimum term, no cancellation fee. You pay monthly or annually, and you can leave whenever you want. If that sounds like it should be normal, it’s because it should be — it’s just not how most hosts price things.
Why we can afford to do this
Because the renewal price doesn’t jump either. We’re not relying on trapping people in a bad deal to make the business work — the price is the price, month to month or year to year, whether you stay one month or ten years.
