Most web agencies build your site, hand it over, and point you at a hosting company for everything after launch. Most hosting companies have never seen your site’s code and don’t build anything. You end up as the go-between when something breaks, with each side able to blame the other.
What “one relationship” actually changes
- When something breaks, there’s one team to call, not two — and no “that’s a hosting issue, talk to your host” / “that’s a code issue, talk to your developer” ping-pong
- The people hosting your site are the same people who built it, so they already know how it’s put together
- Updates, backups, and security are handled by someone who understands the actual site, not a generic server admin working from a ticket
Why most agencies don’t do this
Hosting is ongoing infrastructure work — uptime, security patching, backups, support — and it’s a genuinely different skill set from building websites. Most design agencies don’t want to run that, so they don’t, and default to “here’s a hosting company we recommend.”
Why we do
The team behind WebSavers has a background in platform engineering and security, not just design — hosting properly is the part of the job most agencies skip, and it’s the part that actually matters when something goes wrong at 11pm on a Friday.
